Ryan Stees

I am a Whyburn Research Associate and Lecturer at University of Virginia.

I received my Ph.D. from Indiana University in 2023 under the guidance of Kent Orr. My postdoctoral mentor at UVA is Slava Krushkal.

My research interests lie in low-dimensional geometric topology. I am especially interested in knot theory and knot concordance. See my research page for more details, including current and recent projects, or my research statement for a longer description of my current work.
